So here are my submissions for this school's period assignment.

Every year the Albert Heijn (a Dutch supermarket) has a so called healthy week. Albert Heijn want's to encourage a healthy lifestyle and help out customers to eat more healthy. To help parents on this matter, Albert Heijn launched a campaign in the summer of 2009 titled 'Gezond eten hoeft geen sprookje te zijn' translated to, Healthy food doesn't have to be a fairy tale.

To introduce children in a fun way to this matter a series of placemats were developed. My class was given the assignment to create a new series of the same subject.

For one of the matte paintings i kept a documentation on my blog to show you the steps i followed to come to the final version of the picture.

I found this a really tough assignment. it was only until very late in this school period that i got an idea for what to make. The assignment is currently finished. I wish i could show you a picture with the light scheme that i made for it but my camera wont allow me to make a picture in an environment that dark.

I don't have a lot to show you currently, i just nearly managed to finish this project on time.

After i showed my sketches to the teacher, i noticed that he was most enthusiastic about the mickey mouse picture.

I guess that its the guy in me, but i would really love to make mickey mouse go to shits.

I have chosen to use the classical mickey mouse. I don't really like the look of the modern mickey.

Drawing mickey mouse hands is an art...

Added a cute block of cheese, some blood spatters, additional Photoshop effects and presto! Its a very dead mickey mouse!
